It’s not exactly musical chairs, but this Renaissance-era cutlery can carry a tune at any table setting. Dating back to the 16th century, these extremely rare knives are engraved with musical scores complete with lyrics. On one side is a benediction that may have been sung before a meal, and then a grace on the reverse side that was sung after eating. For instance the knife below reads: “The blessing of the table. May the three-in-one bless that which we are about to eat.” And the other side reads: “The saying of grace. We give thanks to you God for your generosity.”

Третий, как по мне, наиболее сильный, на данный момент, сольный альбом Annmari Thim, участницы Arcana. Чуть больше неоклассики, чуть меньше дарквейва. Четыре года с выхода прошлого полноформатника и это чувствуется. Очень выдержанная и зрелая работа, наполненная симфоническим величием и прекрасным вокалом. В этот раз, как я понял, на собственном лейбле, (первый, в далеком 2012-ом на Прикосновении, второй на Equilibrium Music).

Helen is an amateur bird watcher and naturalist who lives in a rural community in Wales. When a local farmer Bill tells Helen that a rare bird named Emrys killed himself at Cuddig farm, she decides to investigate. One of the dogs at the farm tells her, by way of explanation, that Emrys had no feathers and couldn't fly. She plucks an old cosmetic kit from a dumpster and discovers it belonged to Emrys. Inventorying the kit s contents, she finds a spent .12 gauge shotgun shell. Her attempt to learn more about Emrys turns into a journey of self-discovery and ultimately a hard-fought reconciliation with the world as it is.
