But there in the proud land of Rus
They almost melted down the world

Poisoned now, the green woods and fields
Of Ukraine, tragic and beautiful
But the most awful thing is still happening -
Small children are sickening and dying

But what does that place matter ro me?
It's Jews who also used to live there
Today, on our ancestros' graves
A new Angel of Death is dancing
