The Bombily Art Group, “Auto-Race of Those Who Disagree”, 2007, 4:04
The video was the artists’ contribution to the famous “March of Those Who Disagree” that took place in April 2007 in Moscow. Couples were invited to make love on a riding car. The action was devoted to the outrageous Moscow actionist Oleg Kulik, the “teacher” and inspiration of the group.
The Bombily art group (Anton Nikolaev, Alexander Rossihin), formed in 2004, is one of the most radical Moscow collaborations of young artists. Together with the Vojna group, they form the Professional Union of Street Art – an organization which is responsible for some of the most scandalous and radical of recent actions. Their ideology is a maximal popularization of genres and practices of contemporary art: working as “cabbies” (English for “bombily”), they borrow ideas for future actions from their “clients”. The only objective trend in contemporary art for them is “rehumanization” (as opposed to “dehumanization”), return to “new sincerity”. Общественная коллегия по жалобам на прессу рассмотрела сегодня дело
газеты "Известия"
Поводом стала статья Владимира Перекреста о личных взаимоотношениях
между убитыми адвокатом Станиславом Маркеловым и журналистки Анастасии
Бабуровой, переводящая это убийство в разряд бытового.
Эта статья оскорбляет память погибших - так считает обозреватель газеты
"Новые Известия" Зоя Светова, которая и подала жалобу.
Представители газеты "Известия" на сегодняшнем заседании Коллегии не
присутствовали.
В итоге было вынесено решение о том, что главный редактор <Известий>
Владимир Мамонтов должен извиниться перед родственниками Маркелова и
Бабуровой за публикацию статьи. В ходе обсуждения оценку спорной статье
дал член Коллегии Алексей Кара-Мурза.
