Jewell & Co., Waltham, Mass., likely made this molded copper Horse Jumping Through Hoop weather vane, 1852-1867. The 17-inch-long horse has a verdigris surface and the original copper rod hoop, which is often lost. This scarce vane sold at auction for $140,000 in February 2007. |
