I wrote some 25-30kLOC in D, and unfortunately there're a lot of rough edges. The official forum is full of lengthy discussions (rarely very fruitful, though) but the compiler development pace is limited by very few persons who actually know the internals (which are somewhat messy, especially associative array implementation). Rust design looks much more profound, and 1.0 is soon to be released. It has no full-fledged templates, but traits cover most of the use cases, and macros are available. What do you think of it? |
