Посмотрел художественный фильм "Воображариум доктора Парнаса".
Это наверное, артхаус, таки. Но в отличии от большинства прочих артхаусных фильмов, этот сделан весьма добротно в смысле качества картинки. Т.е. зрителя не только пытаются грузить всякими эстетскими заморочками, истероидным декадансом и прочим модернистическим и постмодернистическим говном, но ещё и развлекают зрелищем.
Но самое главное не это. А самое главное вот что:
Фильм построен на сюжете "Фауста", что не ново для кинематографа.
Но впервые, сей сюжет показан в своей изначальной форме, не искажённой
ни христианством, ни личными морально-этическими проблемами сказителя (как оно было в случае с Гёте).
Если он (сюжет) чем и искажён, так это психопатией режиссёра.
Но в данном случае, эти искажения создают дополнительный слой красоты и общей интересности. Так что их можно смело зачислить в бонусы и фичи.
Ну а сам сюжет "Фауста", взятый в чистом виде, прост - Бог продаёт душу Сатане за глоток свободы. Но затем, находит способ аннулировать сделку и избежать платежа. А может быть ему только кажется, что он избежал платежа. Потому что без отступного, дело не обходится и Бог выкупает свою душу у Сатаны, отдав тому мир, который некогда создал.
Фильм, повторю, получился очень красивый в смысле костюмов, декораций и операторской работы. Есть даже, простые, но удачно изготовленные спецэффекты. Есть величие в паре-тройке сцен. Есть эффектные жесты и несколько афоризмов. Присутствует малость жутковатости, основанной на болезненном гротеске и сгущениях теней. Короче, смотреть сие кино можно и наверное даже нужно - особенно это касается интеллектуалов и эстетов, желающих уверовать в Господа.
