9:06a	Кто и как помогает Украине Кильский Институт мировой экономики опубликовал первый доклад о размерах помощи Украине с начала нового этапа российской агрессии. В базе данных Института учитываются три основных вида помощи – финансовая, гуманитарная, военная. Ниже приведены данные лишь о военной помощи Украине. Величина военной помощи со стороны США уточнена в соответствии с официальными документами Белого Дома и Пентагона. С начала нового этапа путинской войны против Украины 24 февраля по 27 марта 23 союзника Украины предоставили ей военной помощи на 2,8 млрд.дол. В среднем для этих 23 стран военная помощь, предоставленная за первые 32 дня войны, составила 0,008% их совокупного ВВП, 0,26% их годовых военных расходов и 3,5 доллара на душу населения. По абсолютным размерам военной помощи лидируют США, они направили более половины общего объема военной помощи – 1 млрд. 465 млн.дол. Однако по относительным размерам военной помощи США значительно отстают от других стран, находясь на 8-м месте (из 23 стран) по величине военной помощи на душу населения, на 11-м месте по удельному весу военной помощи в ВВП и на 18-м месте по удельному весу помощи в своих военных расходах. По относительным размерам военной помощи неоспоримым лидером среди союзников Украины является Эстония. Она направила жертве агрессии военной помощи на сумму 242 млн.дол., то есть почти треть своего годового военного бюджета, что составляет 0,8% ВВП Эстонии или 182 дол. на душу населения. По относительным размерам содействия Украине вслед за Эстонией идут: - по размерам военной помощи на душу населения – Швеция, Литва, Словакия, Чехия, Люксембург, Словакия; - по размерам военной помощи в процентах к ВВП – Литва, Словакия, Хорватия, Чехия, Швеция, Польша; - по удельному весу военной помощи в военных расходах страны-донора – Словакия, Литва, Швеция, Чехия, Хорватия, Люксембург. По величине относительных показателей предоставления военной помощи Украине отставание США от Эстонии оказывается шокирующим: - по размерам военной помощи на душу населения – США (4,4 дол.) отстает от Эстонии (182 дол.) в 41 раз; - по размерам военной помощи в процентах к ВВП – США (0,007%) отстает от Эстонии (0,79%) в 113 раз; - по удельному весу военной помощи в военных расходах страны-донора – США (0,18%) отстает от Эстонии (31,68%) в 173 раза. За прошедшие с 27 марта 29 дней военная помощь Украине со стороны США была увеличена в 2,6 раза и по состоянию на 25 апреля достигла 3,7 млрд.дол. (Read Comments | Comment on this)
11:35p	Embarrassing: US military aid to Ukraine in relative terms is hundreds times lower than Estonia’s The Kiel Institute for the World Economy has published the first report on the amount of aid to Ukraine since the beginning of a new stage of Russian aggression. The Institute's database includes three main types of aid – financial, humanitarian, and military. Below are data only on military assistance to Ukraine. The amount of military aid from the United States is corrected in accordance with official documents of the White House and the Pentagon. From the beginning of a new phase of Putin's war against Ukraine on February 24 to March 27, Ukraine's 23 allies have provided it with $2.8 billion in military aid. On average for these 23 countries, the military aid given in the first 32 days of the war was 0.008% of their combined GDP, 0.26% of their annual military spending, and $3.5 per capita. The United States is the leader in terms of the absolute amount of military aid; it has sent more than half of the total amount of military aid – 1 billion 465 million dollars. However, in terms of the relative size of military aid, the United States lags far behind other countries, being in 8th place (out of 23 countries) in terms of military aid per capita, in 11th place in terms of the share of military aid in GDP, and in 18th place by the share of aid in their own military spending. In terms of the relative size of military aid, Estonia is the undisputed leader among Ukraine's allies. It sent military aid to the victim of aggression in the amount of 242 million dollars, that is, almost a third of its annual military budget, 0.8% of Estonia's GDP or 182 dollars per capita. In terms of the relative size of assistance to Ukraine, Estonia is followed by other Ukraine's firm allies: - in terms of military aid per capita – Sweden, Lithuania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Slovakia; - in terms of military aid as a percentage of GDP – Lithuania, Slovakia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Poland; - by the share of military aid in the military spending of the donor country – Slovakia, Lithuania, Sweden, Czech Republic, Croatia, Luxembourg. In terms of relative indicators of military assistance to Ukraine, the sheer gap that the United States lagging behind Estonia is shocking: - in terms of military aid per capita – the USA ($4.4) lags behind Estonia ($182) 41 times; - in terms of military assistance as a percentage of GDP – the USA (0.007%) lags behind Estonia (0.79%) 113 times; - in terms of the share of military aid in the military spending of the donor country, the United States (0.18%) lags behind Estonia (31.68%) 173 times. Over the past 29 days since March 27, military assistance to Ukraine from the United States has been increased 2.6 times and as of April 25 reached 3.7 billion dollars.
