According to the US Customs and Border Protection, total duty, taxes, and fees in fact collected last year (2024) was $88.07 billion, or on average $241 million daily: https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/trade Customs duties to be collected in the first half of this year (2025) is projected at $41.38 billion, or $226 million per day. So, the volume of tariffs actually collected is roughly 8-9 times less than the $2 billion announced by President Trump.
