"Invented a pair of "partially adjoint" functors of inverse and direct image between two different kinds of exotic derived categories of matrix factorizations. Would normally write a note in LJ about it, but LJ is down, so writing an even shorter note (this one) here."

Back in early 10's in Moscow, I did not want to concentrate too much on matrix factorizations because those were too fashionable for my liking. I was asking myself the same question again and again: Why am I writing about these fashionable things? Is it only because they are fashionable, or are there any really good reasons for me to look into them? Am I getting distracted from my really important, deep, and very original research projects by this temporarily fashionable stuff? So I wrote two papers (in collaboration) and left the topic. Then, many years later, I have briefly revisited the topic in another two papers of mine.
