TIMEANDDESIRE Group. Street-Art for 7th Berlin Biennale

TIMEANDDESIRE is a methodology that examines the concept of public and
private spaces, as well as the role perception plays in constructing our realities.
The practice is a result of contemplating the human condition, particularly by
focusing on how our existence is cultivated through time and motivated by what
one perceives as essential goods throughout one’s lived experience. The
collection of works has grown from philosophical notions, social psychology,
public life observations, humour, cultural iconography and self-in-society
examination.

These acts of interventionism add new impressions into our shared space,
asking passers-by to examine the concealed assumptions that often act to
confine our understanding of existence. By drawing attention to these socially
inherited presuppositions, TIMEANDDESIRE challenges the viewer to re-think
and re-define the concept of space.

Texts on phenomenology and perception coincide with the works’ intent and
have further informed its meaning. TIMEANDDESIRE is a phenomenological
model in our current world.
