Language isn't always logical (or should I say never?) . One rides a horse or a skateboard, but drives a car. If I ride a bus, that does not mean I work for a bus company. The only car people can ride - is a toy car big enough for a child to sit on. I just wanted to say that it is indeed possible to ride a lot of things, but not a car as a driver.
