А добрые друзья напоили абсентом. Абсент был французский, состав - спирт, настоянный на растении absinthe, он же wormwood, полынь. Отчетлив был вкус аниса, горечи и сахара. Крепость 60%. Не знаю, классический ли это абсент. В Америке он вроде как запрещен с 1912 года, этот приехал из Duty Free. Но и в Америке его можно заказать на
Интернете из Олбани. Дешево там только водка на конопле. Logan Fils 68% 136 proof стоит 210 долларов за литр. Из Олбани убеждают, что их абсент - самый правильный и дорог неспроста.
Но галлюцинаций с первого раза не обещают даже там.
Классический способ: положить специальную абсентовую ложку с дырочками на высокий стакан с абсентом, в ложке кусочек сахара, на который капают охлажденной водой. Абсент становится молочно-зеленым.
Чешский ритуал: в абсентную ложку с кусочком сахара плеснуть меньшую часть, поджечь, когда сахар начнет карамелизоваться, смешать с абсентом в стакане.

Can Logan Fils be commercially sold ?
Absinthe is sold in most European countries provided it meets the 10mg of thujone per litre legal limit. Since the essences of wormwood in Logan Fils are in the same portions as in genuine absinthes from the 19th century, it exceeds this limit by far and therefore can NOT be sold commercially in those countries.
Why are there Absinthes today sold for around $60 or so per litre while Logan Fils costs so much ?
The majority of the stuff sold for around $60 is NOT distilled, contains only around 10mg of thujone, is made from grain alcohol with its unhealthy side-effects, is, in most cases, artificially colored, and wormwood oil is added at the end. Slightly more expensive versions for around $100 are likely to be distilled, but again grain alcohol is used instead of spirits distilled from wine, and if commercially sold, contain around 10mg of thujone as well.
Is Logan Fils sweet ?
Unlike other commercially sold brands, Logan Fils is a distilled wormwood liquor rather than an anise one. And as a result it is just slightly but not unpleasantly bitter due to its high amount of wormwood essences. And this is why we recommend to drink Logan Fils the old, traditional way.
