The Last Flower

LAST FLOWER
I cannot leave my room
I cannot see the light
I look through deadly gloom
Of everlasting night.
I slowly go insane
With every glass of wine
I try to cry in vain
But it's a fault of mine.
The nature screams aloud
The garden seems to live
There're flowers on the ground
I know they won't forgive.
Not watering them well
Was just my usual sloth
But nature brought me hell
Revenge of sacred grove.
Bridge:
I could not save them from drying...
Together now we are dying...
Chorus:
There should be blossom in the summer
But I have spoiled the nature's seed
I let them die and now I suffer
And will be punished for my deed.
I pray the gods of wood
The spirits of the Old
The ones who wear the hood
With eyes of burning gold.
My time is almost gone
I feel the growing pain
But under killing sun
One flower still remains.
Had someone heard my words
My prayer full of grief
Or just one of these gods
Delaying my relief.
I try to ease the pain
Another glass of wine
No need to pray again
It was a fault of mine.
Bridge:
Last flower still resists the drying...
Protecting me from the dying...
Chorus:
There should be blossom in the summer
But I have spoiled the nature's seed
I let them die and now I suffer
And will be punished for my deed.
Chorus:
There is no blossom in the summer
Cause I have spoiled the nature's seed
I let them die and now I suffer
This illness I can never treat.
Last flower yet resists the drying...
Protecting me from the dying...
