Daniel Van der Putten (Dutch, b. 1949) ![]() х/м ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Daniel Van der Putten was born in a small farming village near Rembrandt’s birthplace, Leyden, Holland. Of the many painters in the Van der Putten family, his aunt is especially noteworthy as a famous portrait painter whose works are often exhibited in New York. Although Van der Putten had always wanted to paint, he worked with his father in the family horticultural business before deciding to devote himself exclusively to art. During a trip to Australia, Van der Putten met his Scottish wife. After their marriage, they traveled around the world and then settled in Scotland. There, they began to research the techniques of the great Dutch masters and to study the landscape of the places they visited during their frequent trips. Their interest in painting gradually grew. Finally, following their move to England, Van der Putten was so inspired by the English countryside that he became a full-time painter. Today Van der Putten has become a successful artist with a style all his own. His fascination for color and shadow springs forth from his canvas, particularly in the form of highly detailed trees and skies. Covering a wide range of different moods and seasons, his paintings have a quality of light and intensity which few artists ever achieve. The artist’s British landscapes are distinctly noteworthy. Having displayed his paintings in England, Europe, the United States and Canada, his exhibitions to date have been successes. The works of Daniel Van der Putten are a constant source of enjoyment for private collectors all over the world. |
