Job search notes How do Indian people speaking their own version of English decide to become recruiters? I just spoke to one - it was painful just trying to understand what he was saying. I almost blew an interview yesterday. Here I am dressed like a prince, with a great resume, establishing rapport with the potential future boss, and suddenly she asks: "Why do you want to work for us?" I am brash, but not brash enough to say "Since I was born I always dreamed of working for No.3 insurance company in Massachusetts. Without me it would be much harder for you to become No.2" I, stumbled, I mumbled, I huffed and I puffed... Luckily, she didn't seem to mind. |
