The Linux System Admin must have the ability to research solutions to problems on his or her own using common support channels (Google, mailing lists, forums, etc.), must have in-depth experience with Linux (Redhat and Debian variants) and FreeBSD, expert experience with: Apache (1.x, 2.x) / PHP (4.x, 5.x) / MySQL (4.x, 5.x) / Bind / Exim, experience with supporting and troubleshooting a large range of hardware, a core understanding of how the Internet and networks operate, the ability to lift 50+ pounds to a height of 6 feet, must be a self-motivated hands on type of person that is able to multi-task, must play nicely with others, work solo, and manage his or her own time.
