Oracle's Kurian Is Said to Be at Odds With Ellison on Cloud
Oracle executive Thomas Kurian's leave of absence, announced last week, stemmed from differences with founder Larry Ellison, Bloomberg News reported
• Kurian wants to make more of Oracle's software compatible with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, which Ellison is opposed to, anonymous sources said
• As president of product development, Kurian is charged with making Oracle's on-prem software products available as cloud services
