As the title says, these maps show how many senators, from each state, received their high school and post secondary degrees from the states they serve. This is a follow up to the map I posted last week regarding which Senators were born in the states they serve. While this offers more nuance than birthplace, it's definitely not a perfect representation of how strong of ties someone has to any given state. There are one or two who were raised in their respective states, but received high school degrees from schools across state lines.
Interestingly, in states where only one in-state high school and one in-state postsecondary degree are represented, the degrees are often split between the two senators—rather than concentrated in one.
