This map (Stadtplan von York mit Militargeographische-Eintragungen) is a street Map of York, England made by the Nazi German Supreme Command of the Armed Forces, (Oberkommando der Wehrmacht) as part of the preparation of an invasion of Britain, highlighting the military and geographic features the arriving troops can expect. These were copies of Ordnance Survey maps, with overprints highlighting sites which the Germans would have considered targets in any invasion.
