When Clinton cut gov't jobs

Musk claimed that his abrupt firing of thousands of federal workers is just like Clinton's job cuts in the 1990s. Robert Reich, who carried out part of those cuts, lays out the fundamental differences.

*When you hear Musk say his effort is similar to what I and others did in the 1990s, know he’s lying. When you see him call people who benefit from public programs "parasites," know he’s a hypocrite.*

To avoid painting an exaggeratedly favorable picture of Bill Clinton as a champion of the people, let it be known also that he did many things that transferred wealth from the poor to the rich. This included his "welfare reform" that reduced government aid to the poor.
