Experiment shows microplastics damage mouse brain

An experiment has found a way microplastics can damage mouse brain function in living mice.

I would expect that the dose level in the experiment far exceeded what any animal encounters in normal life, but that would not mean the same thing doesn't happen in normal life — it might just take many years rather than hours.

Whether human brains are vulnerable to this particular mechanism is not certain.
