 Responding to Amazon's wrongdoing
Suggestions for responding to Amazon's wrongdoing
beyond simply refusing to do business with it.
  From AthenaForAll.org.

-
States can enforce and update their antitrust laws to stop Amazon
from hoarding wealth and power – for example, by stopping it from
overcharging online vendors and crushing smaller competitors.

-
Stop giving Amazon public handouts like sales tax exemptions and
discounted utility prices – especially since these subsidies come
at the expense of public services like school budgets.

-
Support workers organizing for better working conditions and a say
  in how the corporation operates.

-
Pass privacy laws to stop Amazon from using its surveillance tools
to punish workers and manipulate customers.

-
Require Amazon’s data centers to be powered by renewable energy
instead of coal and gas, and make sure we don’t have to pay higher
utility bills to offset its energy use.

-
Encourage state and local governments to buy their supplies from
local businesses instead of signing enormous contracts with Amazon,
and to place stricter rules on their contracts with cloud
  providers.

-
Rebalance the tax code so Amazon pays its fair share of taxes
instead of getting lower rates than most small businesses and
  regular people.

-
Vote out politicians – even progressive ones – who consistently
side with corporations at the expense of regular people.
