| 9:00a | What are we all playing this weekend?  Here we go: spring starts on Sunday. At long chuffing last! Not to be a downer, but winter has DRAGGED during the pandemic. Usual winter activities crowding into hot rooms with steam rising off people's soaking wool jumpers, the smell of wet dog in the air, and just so much closeness and breath has been as appealing. | 8:48p | Thomas The Tank Engine has been modded into Elden Ring already  It's tradition that any sufficiently large modding community put Thomas The Tank Engine into a new game as quickly as possible. From Skyrim to Resident Evil Village and now, of course, Elden Ring. |
| 9:18p | Steam is "coming soon" to Chromebooks, with an alpha for select users  Google have announced that Steam is "coming soon" to ChromeOS - although not before first announcing that it was available now and then backtracking. When it does arrive, it'll be an alpha build only available on some Chromebook devices. |
| 9:46p | Turn Sifu into The Matrix with these four mods  I spent many years in my teens watching and rewatching The Matrix, and when I wasn't rewatching the film I was downloading The Matrix mods for every early-00's action game. Maybe it's the new film, or maybe it's just the perfect game to add Keanu Reeves to, but recent kung fu brawler Sifu now has a cracking pack of Matrix mods that add Neo, Agent Smith, new fight sound effects, and recolour the world green. |
| 10:47p | Night Cascades is a supernatural mystery from the maker of Long Live The Queen  I loved Long Live The Queen and Black Closet, two games with heavily branching and systemic narratives and a lot of juicy melodrama, mystery and romance. Now developers Hanako Games have released something new. Night Cascades is a lesbian romance about two women investigating a supernatural mystery in an alternate 1980s, and it looks great. |
