About Idols

The idols of the past were all great men and women, who performed extraordinary acts of heroism, who showed resilience, courage, leadership and skill in the face of danger, who were willing to in different ways make sacrifices and suffer for the good of others. They were men and women who were wise and lived – and some times died – as good examples for the others.

It is hardly bold to claim that the idols of a society tells us much – if not everything – about the mental, moral and spiritual strength and health of that society. Based on that claim, I will assert that our forebears were strong and healthy. Not all of them, of course, but as a general rule they were.

The possibly most exalted idols of our own age would be the actors and actresses. They have been elevated even more than the leaders of society (‘politicians’ and ‘businessmen’). But what are they really?

What is ‘acting’? The most accurate definition would be: ‘Acting’ is ‘to perform’. The actors pretend, and try to make the audience believe in them. In other words, being a good actor means simply that you have the ability to tell convincing lies. The better you act, the more the audience believes in your lies. So we can simplify this by saying that actors make a living out of telling lies. They are professional liars.

They don’t only do that though. Some times they kiss and in other sexual manners interact with other actors. Even though they don’t actually have sexual intercourse with each other on the set, they do have sexual relations (defined here as ‘any sexual activity between individuals’ [i. e. not just the sexual intercourse itself]) with each other. And they get paid to do so.

which brings us on to the topic of prostitution, defined as: ‘the act or practice of engaging in sexual activity for money’. Like kissing others, like touching the intimate parts of the body of another person, like rubbing your naked body up against that of another one, etc.

So not only are all actors and actresses professional liars, most (all?) of them are also a type of prostitutes.

(Yes, there are no images of example actors or actresses: I don’t want to soil my blog…)

You can always find ways to justify their behaviour, or to excuse them, but the fact is that the actors are rewarded and exalted by the masses for telling convincing lies – the more convincing they are the more they are celebrated as ‘good actors’. They are also engaged in the very shady business of prostitution; a mild form you may argue, but still.

And yet, these are the most exalted of the idols of our time; celebrated by the masses, elevated to ‘divinity’ for their ability to tell convincing lies, and also for their willingness to in return for money engage in sexual acts (that I at least really have no interest in watching in the first place).

You can always wonder: ‘Who are these actors?’, but I wish to direct your attention to the societies that elevate them to such importance, and make this evidence – or perhaps even proof – that the modern societies are neither strong nor healthy, but rather weak and unhealthy: they are disturbed, deluded, immoral, degenerate, decadent and simply sick. (Cui bono?)

If you want to know why our societies are sick and if you want a solution, I suggest you read this: Why the European Religion?
