It looks Bad Because of this post I received a mail today, from dear Finland, containing this image: It is from the booklet of a CD called “Nordic Metal – A Tribute to Euronymous”, apparently released by Necropolis Records in 1997. The rather hateful text in the booklet is written by Tony Särkkä, a half-Finnish half-Gypsy mental patient and metal musician living in Sweden at the time. He was a wanna-be friend of Euronymous and signed to Euronymous’ label DSP. Tony Särkkä, alias “It”, here seen to the right on the photo: “It”: Euronymous obviously used his label to manipulate these sorry wanna-be friends, by promising them to be the “number one band” on his label, and by flattering them (“I have great plans for your band”) and so forth. He apparently did this in relation to Tony Särkkä and his band in order to make them “get me” for him. Euronymous: I can add that Euronymous spread rumours about me having burnt down different churches to promote my band (apparently a good sales trick in certain genres…), signed to his label, and one of the reasons he became hostile towards me was that I planned to leave his label and sign to another one (not least because Euonymous was completely incompetent) – as is evident from the content of this booklet. He saw me as a “traitor”, after “all he had done for me” (i. e. releasing one of my albums on his label and spreading rumours about me having burnt down several churches…). Oh, and I can add that I hadn’t even signed the contract with his label, we only had an oral agreement, which explains why he wanted to have me sign the contract before he killed me or had me killed. He planned to kill me and then do like he had done with “Dead”, and present me the way he wanted to, and use this to profit personally. Dead artists sell more than those still alive. As you can see my claim that Euronymous had sinister plans in relation to me is not just something I made up. What is strange is that this album, printed and sold by the thousands, never made anybody understand that I was right all the time. Strange, isn’t it? Why did the Norwegian press never discuss this, I wonder? Because it supported my version – just like all other real evidence in this case? |
