The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine presents its greetness to the Ministry of Qatar Foreign Affairs and has the honor to ask it the following urgent request.
Ukraine is deeply concerned about the fate of her citizen Mrs. Ankhar Kouchnava that was kidnapped in October of this year, which is still being captured forcibly in the Syrian territory by an armed group, which is led by Amar Biqai and self-styled battalion as belonging to the Free Syrian Army.
Mrs. Ankhar Kouchnava has visited Syrian in a special visiting and has worked as translator for the Russian journalists’ delegations and the correspondents of the Russian Satellite channels.
The armed group, which has abducted Mrs. Ankhar Kouchnava, threatens by killing her and demands the government of Ukraine a ransom versus releasing her.
The Ukrainian side was grateful if Qatar presents graciously possible assistance for the release of Mrs. Ankhar Kouchnava and ensures her security, in addition to put an end to the above-mentioned subject to the participants of the General Assembly meeting of the Syrian National Council held in Doha in November 4-8-2012.
The Ukraine side, just like Qatar country condemns strongly all the kinds of terrorism and violence against the civilians and takes an active principled attitude in this matter in the international arena.

Девушку в октябре прошлого года захватили в плен сирийские повстанцы. Они требовали за нее то выкуп, то освобождения из тюрем своих соратников. Анхар грозились казнить, обвиняли в сотрудничестве с сирийскими и российскими спецслужбами, в том, что она была якобы переводчицей у «русских военных советников, служивших в армии Башара Асада». На днях Кочневой удалось бежать из плена и добраться до позиций правительственных войск. Сейчас журналистка находится в воюющем Дамаске. Это история — словно из времен Лоуренса Аравийского, или Эрнеста Хемингуэя, или раннего Проханова, который писал в Камбодже и Анголе, а не в газете «Завтра». «Особой букве» удалось связаться с Дамаском, с Анхар Кочневой. Анхар — страстная сторонница светской, баасистской Сирийской арабской республики. От нее нельзя ждать сухой «объективности» информагенства. Но здесь объективность не нужна и неинтересна, эта «объективность с холодным носом». Когда мы разговаривали с Анхар, в ее голосе была стальная воля и убежденность в своей правоте.
— Анхар, в первую очередь хотим поздравить вас с освобождением из плена. Какая из мятежных групп вас захватила?
Я попала в плен к так называемой «Свободной сирийской армии» (ССА), к начальнику Военного совета ССА южных пригородов города Хомс. Я находилась в плену в пригороде Хомса — в Буэйде, откуда мне и удалось бежать.
— Что для вас было самым страшным во время нахождения в руках у боевиков?
Самое страшное — то, что деятельного, активного человека лишили возможности бороться. Находясь в плену, я для себя решила, что если боевики меня убьют, тогда хотя бы кто-то в мире начнет смотреть на этих сволочей иначе. Так что моя смерть тоже стала бы доказательством моей правоты.
— Какой вы видите ситуацию в Сирии после вашего освобождения? Вы были в изоляции почти пять месяцев, что изменилось за это время?
Ситуация очень ухудшилась, это однозначно. У бандитов появилось тяжелое вооружение, более современные виды стрелкового оружия. Растет финансирование их группировок. Одна снайперская винтовка, которых у мятежников теперь немало, стоит 10 тыс. долларов, то есть около миллиона сирийских лир. У самих бандитов зарплата, денежное довольствие — от 10 до 20 тыс. лир в месяц.
Только что я ехала по той дороге, на которой меня похитили пять месяцев назад, это трасса Тартус—Дамаск. По обеим сторонам дороги я наблюдала колоссальные разрушения построек — придорожных кафе, автосалонов. Пять месяцев назад таких разрушений не было.
Но, несмотря на тяжелую ситуацию, все понимают, что выход один — стоять до последнего.
