My name is Vladimir Zubkov.

As an undergraduate I studied at the Department of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Moscow State University from 2000 to 2005 and graduated with a BSc and MSc (grade A+: the highest score for all subjects). In 2005-2007 I completed MSc at the Department of Business Analysis of the Higher School of Economics (Moscow).

I was awarded a PhD in 2010 from the University of Limerick, under Ireland’s flagship programme for applied mathematics (Mathematics Applications Consortium for Science and Industry).

In 2010, I started my first Postdoctoral project (“Mathematical modelling of tear film dynamics”) at the Oxford Centre for Collaborative Applied Mathematics (OCCAM), a division of the Oxford University Mathematical Institute.

In 2012, I went to King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) for one semester to work on fluid mechanics problems with Prof. Sigurdur Thoroddsen and teach the "Mathematical Modeling" course.

In July 2012, I started my second Postdoctoral project in OCCAM - “Mathematical Modelling of Kidney Morphogenesis”.

Later, in 2017, I became a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics of Brighton University (UK).
