A masterpiece of a movie capturing the essence of the original Russian game with the use of German photography in the beautiful city of Berlin with the parts of the plot just falling together perfectly giving me 800 points. 10/10. A quick summary of the plot without any spoilers is that aliens send blocks down to berlin and other cities where the main characters aren't our main characters have to go into space and fight the Creator of the game who is a Russian man named Alexey Pajitnov, this ultimately leads up ti a sideways tetris hole in the wal kind of action sequence where they throw the 4x1 tetris block to alexey which kills him and stops the alien invasion 10/10 -IGN

First off all: yes, there is in fact a Tetris movie in the works. This was actually announced last year, but some of you may have dismissed it as a joke. Well, it’s not a joke. The Tetris film is a real, and it has secured a budget of $80 million dollars. The film, which is supposedly a sci-fi thriller, will be the first part of a larger trilogy of movies. Again, I am not making any of this up.
According to Deadline, the Tetris movie will be co-produced by China and the United States under Threshold Global Studios, which was created by Chinese billionaire Bruno Wu and Mortal Kombat producer Larry Kasanoff. The two men have been working with the Tetris Company for over a year now, and have secured a budget for the film after the formation of their studio. Since this is a joint China-US project, the film will star both Chinese and American actors who will comprise the ensemble cast. The science fiction movie is said to be a global film for a global market.
