I'm confident that China will continue to thrive (on its own terms, of course); not so much the USA. I'm sure they would give you a position that you'd like, if it comes to that. I'm in China and freer to post on most issues than I would be in the USA. What exactly can I do in the US? Set up my own tech company or my own university since the ones there won't hire me? That's not my skill set or tax bracket.
