Чудненькое ЖЖ коммьюнити queerarabs, посвещенное арабам-геям и лесбиянкам ( на английском ). Особенно понравились там мудрые мысли комментаторов, например:
You have to read the Qur'an with an open mind. You have to remember that the Arabs in that time were the most barbaric people on Earth (not so much different today.lmao) so it only makes sense that the Qur'an would come down as a very very strict book that lays out very specific rules...because if it was too liberal things would get out of hand. The Arabs were very wild and barbaric. They needed something tough to put them in check. In modern day though, you have to realize that the Qur'an is just one giant poem. It was written by God to be able to last thousands of years and be able to be interpretated for each generation. (the extremists can't see that tho and that's where the problem lies). But if u realize that it's just a big poem, you'll also realize that poems must be read between the lines...not just on the surface. When the Qur'an bashes a group of people and "condemns them to Hell" that verse is usually followed by a very loving metaphore of some sorts. You have to read the Qur'an from a poet's point of view and u'll actually realize that it is actually a very hearwarming book and an ingenious book at that. I don't take it literally tho, and that's what makes me accept it so much.
И ответ другого комментатора:
Compare verses 7:54 and 41:9-12 .. there's a clear contradiction. I refuse to follow that book for spiritual guidance, it's too full of war and hate, even though it was to keep the Arabs in control.
Есть же думающие люди и среди арабофф, это вселяет надежду.
