Это один из очень немногих ЖЖистов, с которыми я встречался в реальной жизни. В заморском городе Токио он меня угощал невообразимо вкусным чаем и мыслями о Японии.
Наш человек с самурайской выдержкой :) Такое сочетание редко встречается в жизни.

The Lord God of Genesis acts as a genuine inventor/creator: he feels really good about his creation, but as soon as the very first Serpent walks in to kick the tires, the whole system breaks down.
Human, Adam's and Eve's that is, behavior defies any logic. For example, Adam and Eve live in Eden, they've got plenty of food, companionship and recreation. Are they content? No. They want to try something that is explicitly forbidden, and their only answer to "Why did you do that?", is "I don't know." Really? Of course not! The Serpent told Eve: your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God, knowing good and evil (Gen. 3.5)
And he was right. In one aspect, the ability to control their own procreation, Adam and Eve did become equal to God. But that was it! God's other ability, e.g. control the length of one's life (tree of life), remained beyond their reach. Another key ability - to provide for yourself and your offspring was also missing and had to be learned the hard way: in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life (Gen 3.17). And as the result of this hard labor Adam and Eve are destined: return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken; for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.'(Gen. 3.19)
Conclusion: when you evaluate a control system, you need to be aware of all the functions that it orchestrates. Adam and Eve committed the most common inventor's mistake: focus on the Tool, rather than on the system as a whole. The obvious flaw in their thinking was lack of understanding of their role within the Lord God's super-system. |

wikipedia: Conventional wisdom is a term coined by the economist John Kenneth Galbraith, used to describe certain ideas or explanations that are generally accepted as true by the public.
The expression "Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime" is a conventional wisdom that doesn't make much sense in the modern economy. It assumes that what you learn does not become obsolete over your lifetime. It would be interesting to play with it during the next session using the STC operator, just to evaluate the vector of the participant's psychological inertia. |

завидую собаке. она может есть, засунув морду в тарелку, и чувствовать все оттенки запаха еды. если учесть, что обоняние у нее раз в 10 лучше, чем у меня, то становится очевидно, что сырая курица для нее ароматнее самых изысканных французских блюд. |

Вот чем жизнь в Америке действительно отличается от жизни в практически любой другой стране, так это свободой и необходимостью выбора. Свобода заключается в том, что культура, традиции, экономические отношения, законы, политика, религия и прочие ограничения среды оставляют огромное пространство для само-реализации. Необходимость же вызвана тем, что у всех других есть точно такая же свобода, и если они сумеют использовать ее лучше чем ты, то твое пространство выбора может резко сократиться.
По-простому, когда все есть, но оно все разное, например, по качеству, то умение выбирать гораздо важнее умения потреблять.
С этой точки зрения, люди, которые жалуются на то, что в Америке очень много плохого, совершенно правы. Это действительно так. И если ты не умеешь выбирать, то оно тебе все и достанется. С другой стороны, если ты приложишь усилия научиться свободе, внутренней и наружной, жизнь станет гораздо легче, потому что большинство "шума" отсеется. |
