Читаю сейчас книжку о японских лагерях для американских военнопленных времен второй мировой войны. Из 60-70 тысяч солдат и офицеров, кто сдался на Филипинах в 1942-м году, выжило всего несколько тысяч. Даже по сравнению с описаниями немецких концлагерей того же периода садизм японцев выглядит каким-то особенным кошмаром. Не стал бы писать здесь на эту тему, если бы не статья некоего Гоблина об искусстве выживания в Российской армии. Настолько похоже на японский концлагерь, что мурашки по коже. Разве что саблей голову не отрубают и расстрелы не инсценируют шутки ради. Надо будет с отцом поговорить, расспросить, как ему служилось. |

Groupthink is a term coined by psychologist Irving Janis in 1972 to describe a process by which a group can make bad or irrational decisions. In a groupthink situation, each member of the group attempts to conform his or her opinions to what they believe to be the consensus of the group. In a general sense this seems to be a rational way to approach the situation. However this results in a situation in which the group ultimately agrees upon an action which each member might individually consider to be unwise (the risky shift).
