"A massive art party celebrating blind enthusiasm in the face of
impending doom. A carnival of good intentions gone bad. It's a
joyous jubilee -- and a disaster waiting to happen."
This is one of those parties where there are so many amazing
people working together to make it wonderful, that it's basically
guarenteed to be one of the best events of the year. I say
"basically", because, of course, something could always go
horribly, horribly wrong. but seriously, MI always throw the best,
most interesting parties in nyc, and this is the first one ever in a
big *legal* space ... so it should be outstanding! btw, they are
expecting to reach capacity at some point with potential for lines
at the door at peak time, so arrive early to avoid disappointment.

The Madagascar Institute presents: The Best Idea Ever! Until everything goes horribly, horribly wrong A celebration of the great, flawless ideas, the creative breakthroughs, the profound insights; the effortless Ideas with a capital I, the ideas that will be easy and make a ton of money, the ones that will be perfect and will make you famous, that can be executed without a hitch, and nothing could possibly go wrong -- and all you have to do is this last little bit, the trifle standing in the way of you and the first of your long string of successes, this last little fucking thing. And then it goes horribly, horribly wrong. Because you are heavier than air. Because it wasn't just a whale. Because you shouldn't have used hydrogen instead of helium. And the terrible aftermath, too. The ambulances. The appalled fans. The Darwin Award. The part after the accident when NYPD and the FBI show up and things get far, far worse -- because when the Madagascar Institute does Horribly, Horribly Wrong we do not fuck around. Or, a party. Our first in a long, long time, an event that must not be missed. In this, as well, we do not fuck around. There will be new rides and installations that will make you whoop with glee and deeply question our sense of humor, disc jockeys and bands to let you to dance away your troubles, and so many good looking people with a newfound joy of life that they glow in the dark and they will want to kiss you, because you will be aglow, too. With three independent sound systems featuring Roxy Pain, BonBomb, Aqui, Flaming Fire, Growler, and DJs Satamile, Spinoza, $mall Change, Shakey, KleverVice, Pork Chop, Girl DJ, Ripley, Kid Kameleon, Half Heard, Mad Anthony, Cruzmissile, and Luv Luv. Art, games, and performances by the Madagascar Institute, Hungry March Band, Black Label Bike Club, Toyshop, Missile Dick Chicks, P5, Fakework, Flux Factory, theStick.org, Dub Pies, Little Brooklyn, Grinder Girl, Modern Gypsies, Anthony Patti, Complacent, and Action/Direction. Bring extra cash for custom merch, handmade goodies, and a live auction, featuring work by Revs, Espo, Peak, Diva, Ezo, Ewok, Swoon, and Spencer Tunick, Julia Solis, and collectible items from Zephyr, Sto, and Handcranked Films. Wear: Great ideas with a fatal flaw, or people who fucked up: Evel Knevil, the horror movie couple that sneaks off for sex, Adam and Eve, a whaler, someone trying heroin for the first time, a Web designer in 2001, the guy who wore orange to the St Patrick's Day Parade, or that idiot who blew his face off with a confetti gun.
