The refining process(sometimes? always?) uses
animal
bones to refine cane sugar. Which is why
strict
vegetarians will not consume refined sugar.
I don't
buy it for my home but if I'm out and there's
no Sugar
in the Raw, I will consume some regular white
sugar.

most processed sugar ain't vegetarian
during the process of refining it, the sugar is
often mixed with
blood albumen from pigs and cattle and the
granulated sugar may
be filtered through charcoaled animal bones in
a "purification"
process

besides, processed sugar steals from the body
much needed minerals and vitamins
