Professor Lev Aizenberg was born in Moscow 1937. In
1961, he graduated from Moscow University with a Ph.D. in
Mathematics under the guidance of A. Temliakov (who was
a student of S. Berman). In 1964, at the General Physics
Institute, Russia Academy of Science he founded the
Laboratory of Function Theory. At the same time, he
founded the Department of Mathematical Analysis in
University of Krasnoyarsk. In 1993 he immigrated to Israel.
Since 1994, he has served as a professor in the Department of
Mathematics, Bar-Ilan University.

Prof. Aizenberg has published over 140 research papers, including
three monographs.

He has had 24 Ph.D students, six of whom are full professors.
