If you are such a fool to believe that Crimeans want to be Ukrainians, not Russians, perhaps you will take note of recent actions by Ukraine to make war not on the government of Crimea, but on the people:
The Ukrainian-based banks have all closed, essentially stealing all deposits.
The Ukrainian government is damming a canal to cut off water to destroy Crimean crops and cause thirst and disease.
These actions don’t hurt Russia... other than the cost Russia is willing to pay to aid their countryfolk in Crimea. They are attacks against the people of Crimea
