Karo Maestro aka The Mathemagician
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074HSNKN5/
Henri Cartan. Differential Calculus On Normed Spaces: A Course In Analysis [Print Replica]

"Look Inside".

About the Publisher/ Editor: Karo Maestro aka The Mathemagician is the
nome-de-plume of a former graduate student in mathematics. His true
identity will remain a secret for now, but one day will be revealed to
all. Some things this online enigma can reveal: He was a distinguished
undergraduate student as a double major in mathematics and
biochemistry whose poor health prevented completing graduate
studies. Unbowed and undaunted, he plans to return to ultimately
obtain a PhD before dying. Partially to that end, he is building a
publishing company committed to making high quality sources of
mathematics-both original works and reprints-available widely and
inexpensively to students of all backgrounds. The volume you hold is
the very first published. He has 3 bachelors’ degrees, in philosophy,
physical chemistry and mathematics as well as minors in biochemistry
and psychology. He is also a past reviewer of textbooks for the
Mathematical Association Of America. He's also the author of
Tables,Chairs And Beermugs(
https://tableschairsandbeermugsmathemagician.blogspot.com/), the
associated blog for the website where he reviews textbooks and vents
on matters mathematical and academic. He’s painfully blunt,
opinionated and has a comment on just about everything in creation.

Mathoverflow

Mathematical Association of America.

Andrew Locascio is currently a graduate student at Queens College Of
The City University Of New York.

Andrew Locascio is currently pulling his remaining hair out as a first
year graduate student at Queens College of the City University of New
York. Due to his chronic health problems, he has come to realize the
brutal difficulty of such a career path without coffee. He has also
realized his understanding of abstract algebra is nowhere near as good
as he thought it was and is attempting to rectify this. He has also
rediscovered his love for philosophy under the tutelage of the
legendary Saul Kripke by attending his lectures on the philosophy of
mathematics at the City University of New York Graduate Center. His
goal by next year is to learn enough topology and algebra to be able
to figure out what Dennis Sullivan is talking about.

Andrew Locascio is a second year graduate student at Queens College of
the City University of New York. His interests are differential
geometry, topology and the relationship of mathematics to the physical
sciences. He’s also tired of all DC comics readers being on Grant
Morrison’s case when none of them could carry his pen when it comes to
creativity and writing skills.

* * *

After many years in purgatory, Andrew Locascio is now a master’s
student in mathematics at Queens College of The City University Of New
York. He is a firm believer in the organic perspective of mathematics,
which states theory and applications are but 2 sides of the same coin,
which implies the unity of all natural sciences under the umbrella of
mathematics despite what the average medical student thinks. He is as
old as his tongue and a little older then his teeth and beyond that
his age will remain a mystery to all save his physicians. He is hoping
for a small window of good health in between getting his PHD and dying
in order to make a small contribution to human civilization.

Andrew Locascio is finishing up his master’s work at Queens College Of
The City University Of New York and the CUNY Graduate Center and is
hoping he doesn’t get a heart attack before getting admitted to a PhD
program. Between the stress and his weight which he can’t seem to
lose, this may be a futile hope. He enjoys comic books, ranting,
science fiction, ranting, mathematics, chemistry, physics, baking,
good food and the company of tall beautiful women. On the last
subject, being a less then an attractive man is somewhat of an
advantage since he fades into the shadows to observe their character
or lack thereof in social situations before deciding if they are worth
his precious time to approach. He cried the day George Carlin died —
he may never laugh again as Carlin’s brilliance was one of the rare
experiences that truly made him do so.

Andrew Locascio is entering his final semester of master’s work at
Queens College of the City University of New York and is keeping his
fingers crossed he can lose enough weight so he doesn’t get a stroke
and lose 70 IQ points in the process before entering a PhD program
next year. He’s still embarrassed over almost flunking undergraduate
probability because he allowed himself to forget basic calculus while
pursuing differential geometry, deformation theory and algebraic
topology and may have to take the hit next semester retaking it for
his last requirement for the MS while his friends pursue elliptic
curve theory with Kenneth Kramer and topology with Dennis Sullivan.
As you can imagine, he’s not happy about it. He’s currently learning
additive number theory with the wonderful lecturer and researcher
Melvyn Nathanson, which he hopes to form the basis for his first
published research this summer.

* * *

Andrew Locascio is currently a man without a country as he prepares to
finally take his Master’s qualifying exams in pure mathematics at
Queens College of the City University of New York in January. He hopes
to work as an adjunct and publish mathematical research next year
while waiting for his PhD applications to be processed.
