on l'ouvre le Louvre
     Не знаю, все-таки, как к этому относится - с одной стороны, положено ценить: Лувр, культура.
     С другой стороны - революция (On 08 November 1793, the revolutionary government opened the Musée Central des Arts in the Grande Galerie of the Louvre), незаконный захват чужого имущества, к тому же воровство и грабеж:
     Apart from the collections of the king and those of the Academy, it included the property stolen from the Church and from émigrés. ... very many works of art came to the Louvre plundered by the victorious revolutionary armies ...
