Архиглавнейший советник Обамы Michael McFaul весьма обязателен в отвeтах (см. предыдущий пост) - это при той огромной переписке, которую ему приходится вести. Российские обычаи и нравы, которых Michael мог поднабраться, ездя многократно в Россию, вроде бы не повлияли на него, крепкий мужик, значит.
Что ж, пусть Обама скажет своё "нет" и тем самым обнаружит своё непростительное для тянущего на президентство невежество.

I will see if I can get an answer. With specific reference to this particular work by Pushkin. Im almost sure the answer is no, but one never knows.

And I didnt mean to offend by asking about the motivation of your question. Please understand that I have no idea who you are and was just trying to figure out why , of all of Pushkin's writings, you are interested in Obamas reading or not of this work, which your own website describes as the "most scandalous book in Russian Literature." To answer questions 1 and 3 below, you could have asked about Pikovaya Dama or some other more conventional text.
