Ten years ago, the fascist, imperialist ?Soviet Union? shrudded off its last pretences of ?socialism?. For those who had defended this brutal tyranny up to ultra-revisionist Gorbachev, this was a tragedy, and they were of course unable to understand why it happened. One still hears pathethic excuses, such as ?socialism in the Soviet Union and elsewhere did not fail, it was temporarily defeated by imperialist aggression that surrounded it.?

Instead, true Marxist-Leninists had been aware for about thirty years that

this was about to happen. It didn?t come to us as any surprise, and certainly it was not a setback for the international Communist movement. On the contrary- perhaps this dissillusioment will bring some honest but mistaken Comrades, who had been in the ?pro-Soviet? camp during the past years back to Marxism-Leninism, though it appears clear that this shall apparently not take place from the initiative of their party leadership; from their part, one can only speak of such extreme reluctancy to accept self-criticism for this shallow idiocy that dominated our movement for decades and virtually paralyzed it that it should really be called textbook example of subjectivism.
