INTIMATE STRANGERS (Confidences Trop Intimes)

Patrice Leconte
Fabrice Luchini, Sandrine Bonnaire
As in most of his filmography, here too Patrice Leconte chooses to explore communication between the sexes and the role of fate in bringing people together. The plot follows married Anna who mistakes accountant William for her new psychologist, spills out all of her marital problems in front of him. From there on, and against his will, a strange bond develops between the two characters, both of whom are trying to get out of the quagmire of their respective lives. A brilliantly-scripted drama set in a single loca-tion and relying mostly on dialogue. (Fr., Heb. subt.) Preview screening courtesy of Orlando Films.
