заценил также неодоцененный имхо The Theatre Bizarre (2011), киносборник из шести новелл, Удо Кир в роли "ведущего". Особенно хороши первая и последняя. Первая по лавкрафтианским мотивам, Жабомать, Франция, съёмки деревянной резьбы на какой-то "философской обители" и "Некрономикон". Поставил Ричард Стэнли, наиболее известный постановками Hardware (1990) про голову робота (приз за лучшую режиссуру на Международном фестивале фантастического кино Fantasporto-1991) и "Остров д-ра Моро" с Килмером и Брандо. У него в фильмографии также внезапно обнаружил документалки: Voice of the Moon (1990) про Афганистан (много антимондиалистской риторики, "америкосы балканизируют срану, уничтожают традиции, врут про шариат"), фильм про Отто Рана (The Secret Glory (2001) - судя по названию, я надеялся, что это будет экранизация одноименной повести Мейкена, но если бы это оказалось так, я был бы всё же удивлён меньше) и The White Darkness (2002) - про то как американская военщина на Гаити притесняет бедных вудуистов, пытаясь навязать им цивилизованный протестантизм взамен древних милых обрядов. В общем, за эсэсовско-вудуистскую мистику против современнаго пропиндосовленнаго мира.

Ещё у него есть документалочка L'Autre Monde (2013) про Ренн-ле-Шато, катаров и НЛО.

Richard Stanley (born 22 November 1966) is a South African film director and screenwriter. Stanley works and lives in Montségur, France.
His mother, Penny Miller, is an artist and anthropologist best known for her book Myths and Legends of Southern Africa. As a child Richard travelled extensively with her as she documented the folklore and witchcraft of the subcontinent, spending his formative years in a world where 'magic' was still a fact of everyday life.
While still a student at the University of Cape Town, where he studied anthropology, Stanley worked for the archival department of the South African College of Music, filming tribal dance and initiation rituals.
he created his first film, Rites of Passage. Shot on super-8 stock, the 10-minute short film draws comparisons between modern man and primitive man. The short eventually won Stanley the IAC International Student Film Trophy film award in 1984.
Stanley returned to feature filmmaking as a contributing writer-director to The Theatre Bizarre. Stanley's contribution is an adaptation of the short story Mother of Toads by Clark Ashton Smith.
He launched the interactive website Terra Umbra - Empire of Shadows in October 2009, an ongoing inquiry into the invisible world and the hidden history of southern and central Europe. He also released the e-book Shadow of the Grail - Magic and Mystery at Montsegur in December 2010.
