Ух ты ж-ка, дядя Джо, оказывается, был уличен в плагиате и лжи о своем прошлом в ходе своей первой президентской кампании ✓ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Biden_1988_presidential_campaignThe 1988 presidential campaign of Joe Biden, a Democratic U.S. Senator from Delaware, began in June 1987. Originally, Biden was regarded as potentially one of the strongest candidates in the field. In September 1987, however, reports emerged that he had plagiarized a speech by the British Leader of the Opposition and Labour Party Leader, Neil Kinnock. Other allegations of past law school plagiarism and exaggerating his academic record soon followed and Biden withdrew from the race later that month | Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024 | 4:33 pm |
Британский "Потемкин" Как предатель интересов рабочего класса Макдональдс со своей национал-социалистической кликой заставлял британских матросов жрать говно ✓ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invergordon_MutinyIn summarising the mutiny for the Admiralty, Tomkinson reported that the crews had remained respectful to their officers throughout, and that officers had done their best to explain the government's reasons for the cut in pay and that complaints would be taken seriously. The mutiny caused a panic on the London Stock Exchange and a run on the pound, bringing Britain's economic troubles to a head and forced it off the Gold Standard on 21 September 1931. Len Wincott, a leader of the mutiny, defected to the USSR in 1934. During World War II he survived the Siege of Leningrad but in 1946 he was sent to the Gulag after being accused of being a British spy; he was imprisoned for more than a decade. After his release in the 1950s, he became a friend of Donald MacLean in Moscow. Another leader, Navy boxer Fred Copeman, commanded the British Battalion of the International Brigades in the Spanish Civil War | Tuesday, May 21st, 2024 | 10:06 pm |
Вот позиция расово верная и истинно консервативная https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enoch_PowellPowell never experienced combat and felt guilty for having survived, writing that soldiers who did so carried "a sort of shame with them to the grave" and referring to the Second Battle of El Alamein as a "separating flame" between the living and the dead. When once asked how he would like to be remembered, he at first answered, "Others will remember me as they will remember me", but when pressed he replied, "I should like to have been killed in the war". | Wednesday, May 15th, 2024 | 3:14 pm |
We're Just Different https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cape_independenceIn April 2022, the CIAG was accused of racism for a pictograph which depicted the rest of South Africa as black and the Western Cape as shades of brown, black, and white. This was displayed alongside two other images with the imagery of the USSR and ANC over South Africa, with only the Western Cape showing the Ukrainian and Democratic Alliance colours under the heading "We're Just Different". | Sunday, May 12th, 2024 | 3:20 pm |

Soldier of Fortune Significant to the early development of SOF was its recruitment of foreign nationals to serve in the Rhodesian Security Forces, during the Rhodesian Bush War (1964–79). By 1976, Soldier of Fortune was selling 120,000 copies per month, making it into one of the most popular American magazines of the 1970s. Soldier of Fortune was ostensibly intended for mercenaries and "professional adventurers", but Brown admitted that the majority of the readers of Soldier of Fortune were the "Walter Mitty market", referring to the weak, insecure men who merely fantasized about being macho mercenaries. The American historian Kyle Burke described the popularity of Soldier of Fortune as due to a white male backlash against the rise of feminism and the rise of civil rights movement as he noted that the majority of the readers of Soldier of Fortune were white men who resented feminists and "uppity" non-white people, especially Afro-Americans. The stories in Soldier of Fortune describing with great relish how a mere handful of white mercenaries could almost effortlessly defeat hordes of black guerrillas were thinly veiled racist fantasies that were meant to establish the superiority of white men over black men. Likewise, the stories in Soldier of Fortune celebrated the machismo and womanizing of the mercenary sub-culture as the male ideal | 6:15 am |

Next to God https://af.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skandinawiese_MonumentThe Scandinavian Corps was founded by railway engineer Christer Uggla at the outbreak of the Second Boer War in 1899, and was part of the Army of the Transvaal Boer Republic. The Corps consisted of 114 men, including officers, of which 46 from Sweden, 13 from Norway, 24 from Denmark, 18 from Finland, 7 from Germany, 4 from The Netherlands, 1 from Russia, and 1 from Italy. Of the soldiers, none were professionals, but many were seamen. The Corps partook in the siege of Mafeking in October and November as well as in the Battle of Magersfontein 10–11 December 1899, where it suffered heavy losses, as it faced several Scottish elite regiments from the Highland Brigade, and was immensely outnumbered. The Boer soldiers were entrenched and inflicted a severe defeat upon the advancing British force; the Scandinavians however were positioned around 1500 meters in front of the main line. The fallen were buried on site, and several monuments were erected there. One reads "De kunde icke vika, blott falla kunde de. (They could not fold, they could only fall)". The Corps was part of the Boer forces under General Piet Cronje General Cronje reported after the victory in the battle at Magersfontein: "Next to God the (Boer) Republics have the Scandinavian Corps to thank for the victory". Sambourne illustrated this visual pun to depict Cecil Rhodes as the ancient Greek statue the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, following the traditional (and architecturally unlikely) depiction of the Colossus with wide-set legs across Rhodes harbour https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rhodes_Colossus Current Music: Clem Tholet - Sunny days and rain | 12:21 am |
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rise,_O_Voices_of_RhodesiaBecause of its use by "Rise, O Voices of Rhodesia", the "Ode to Joy" melody is controversial in Zimbabwe, where its annual playing at foreign embassies on Europe Day initially caused shock to Zimbabwean government officials who, according to historian Josephine Fisher, had not previously been aware of the song's use by the Council of Europe. During the 1980s, Derek Hudson, the long-time conductor of the Bulawayo Philharmonic Orchestra, had considerable difficulty securing official permission to give the first Zimbabwean performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. He was eventually able to do so, but only after prolonged negotiations with the authorities. When "Ode to Joy" was included in a fundraising organ recital held by a Harare church at Christmas 1994, it provoked angry protests from some who attended ✓ | Sunday, April 21st, 2024 | 2:22 pm |
Make love and war https://supremashirt.com/products/rli-rhodesian-light-infantry-3-commando-lovers-bush-war-military-t-shirt 3 Commando (Rhodesian Light Infantry) was nicknamed "the Lovers", or sometimes "the green machine", the latter coming from the green jerseys its men wore in intra-regimental sporting competitions. The "Lovers" nickname emerged during the mid-1960s, and had its origin in the off-duty reputation of its soldiers, who were reportedly very popular amongst the young women of Salisbury. This reputation also contributed to the design chosen for the Commando emblem and flag in 1968, during Operation Cauldron. As the Commando "Lovers" had not yet seen action on Operation Cauldron, Captain Spike Powell and Lieutenant Chris Pearce suggested that a more suitable emblem than anything military might be a banana. The banana was adopted, and the Commando's insignia became a numeral "3", emblazoned on a banana, with the word "Lovers" above and the designation "Commando" beneath, all on a green shield. This emblem endured for the rest of the RLI's history. Current Music: John Edmond - Sweet Banana | 8:12 am |
She was considered so valuable to American military morale, that the enemy placed a $10,000 bounty on her. Twice her chopper was downed by enemy fire while she was visiting American military personnel in Vietnam. Noel sang, danced, read poetry, signed autographs, talk to, kissed and hugged the troops in South Vietnam from 1966 to 1970. She is the only woman to travel through South Vietnam to remote bases in helicopters, riding with the door open, next to the gunner. She survived mortar and assault rifle attacks in war zones. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Noel Current Music: Lykke Li - Sadness is a blessing | Saturday, April 20th, 2024 | 3:18 pm |
