Я таки воткнул себе новый 120Gb винт! Пришлось, правда, прошить последнюю бета-версию BIOS (двухлетней, кстати, давности) в мою старинную плату ASUS K7M - а иначе BIOS вис при попытке автоопределить параметры винчестера. Я так думаю, он просто изумлялся до глубины души его размером, и впадал от этого в прострацию. Вылечили.

Ну что можно сказать? Винт очень тихий, даже с выключенным Acoustic Management шуршания головки не слышно. Тесты производительности погоняю потом.
