Well, and Taipei 101, and Jin Mao Building in Shanghai-they are indeed too picturesque, too outwardly immitating the structure of temples, still fun I think- though not so great aesthetically indeed, the forms should be more abstract... But neither does this one look fully satisfying, I mean as the "european answer" to these, don't know, leaves something to be desired... But of course if Europeans wanted to answer, they should do it themselves...

Actually, you know much more about modern architecture then me. :-) Anyway, thanks, I got some thoughts about Oriental style, it looks like they keep style familiar with old pagodas. I like project of "the Federation" building cose of their elliptic shapes in combination with a central broach, it is good challenge to the traditional parallelepipedic skyscrapers. | |
