Я, наверно, варвар и неуч, но мне этот проект нравится:

При всей дурацкой ущербности, вторичности и невписываемости в неповторимый московский ландшафт, ага.

В московский-то оно пожалуй как раз впишется. Стиль Москвы - жуткая эклектика и мешанина. Насчет Киева я меньше уверен. Но я там очень давно не был и помню плохо.

В Киеве такое не планируют, насколько мне известно. Это я у Великого Митхгола нашел в журнале.

I mean, I didn't think about competition and world records, I like how it looks.
Well, and Taipei 101, and Jin Mao Building in Shanghai-they are indeed too picturesque, too outwardly immitating the structure of temples, still fun I think- though not so great aesthetically indeed, the forms should be more abstract... But neither does this one look fully satisfying, I mean as the "european answer" to these, don't know, leaves something to be desired... But of course if Europeans wanted to answer, they should do it themselves...

Actually, you know much more about modern architecture then me. :-) Anyway, thanks, I got some thoughts about Oriental style, it looks like they keep style familiar with old pagodas. I like project of "the Federation" building cose of their elliptic shapes in combination with a central broach, it is good challenge to the traditional parallelepipedic skyscrapers.
