"Hard truths about race on campus"
http://www.wsj.com/articles/hard-truths-about-race-on-campus-1462544543

Both Thomas Sowell (a right-leaning economist) and Jonathan Haidt (a left-leaning psychologist) say the same thing: affirmative action and racial quotas cause more racism, more racial tensions, more discrimination, and less academic success for minorities whom these policies are supposed to help. "Diversity training" programs do not work and introduce attitudes opposite to the ones they are supposed to inculcate. Imposing racial diversity through quotas, together with "sensitivity training", leads to increase in attitudes that judge people by race. And Haight explains how this works.

This is the first time that I have seen Haidt say explicitly "we need to adopt policies that have been empirically shown to produce the promised results".

This position should come as no surprise to natural scientists, but it is not usually adopted when social change is discussed.

I predict that very soon (after H. Clinton wins the election and imposes a regime of radical-left political correctness), Jonathan Haidt will be labeled as "far-right", his speaking appointments at universities will be regularly canceled, and Fox News will remain the only TV channel that will still interview him about his research in psychology.
