This TV ad. Alex Fergusson and we only received $1400 each for thee use ov Roman P. !!! Due to sneaky publishing games our copyrights got sold and resold to major labels without us even being informed or asked. We had signed them away in ignorance back in 1982-84 to DEJAMUS. Thee $4000 we shared as an advance THEN seemed a lot when we both lived in squats in Beck Road with outside toilets; no kitchens; no bathroom; no heating etc. Classic poverty stricken musician's mistake. Most 60's bands have thee same story. Naive, pure, just wanting to make records and play...HOWEVER!!!! speed forward to 1996-97 and thee Supreme Civil Court ov California in Los Angeles AND thee opposition lawyers were saying we were an unknown musician with no real earning power so shouldn't expect loss ov earnings. This video was played in thee Court room on a big monitor. Thee Judge actually got down from his special seat and stood with us to watch it. "I REMEMBER THIS TV AD, " he exclaimed. "I really like this song."....so one couldargue there was a slow butter significant coumpensation 10+ yeras after we wrote this with Ken Thomas co-producing with me.
