Re: Men - human beings Maybe you should look into dictionary a bit more ofter and learn that word "man" has more than one meaning. Besides a common meaning "male" it also has other denotations. "A human regardless of sex or age; a person." & "The human race; mankind." If the posted quote taken from the Declaration of Independence, then it has the latter meanings I described, since the purpose of the document was to free all persons from dependence and not to reinforce hierarchial stucture. In your quote "woman is a friend of a person", you imply that woman is not a human being. Well, then what are women? And then if women are not human beings, how can they produce human beings?
