Мне кажется, там любой желающий может сделать, а они распространяют. И судя по всему, алгоритм у них идиотский, мне никогда ничего по делу не показывали.

Как тебе диск? Было время посмотреть? Я в понедельник прийду сразу на практику, поведу Номку на немой фильм во время твоего урока.

	Там справа вверху от рекламы крестик, если на него навести, появляется "Report this ad". Когда нажмёшь, спрашивают почему, и один из вариантов ответа "Offensive" (Ответить) (Уровень выше)

It's not a people, it's software. buggy software designed for automated ads targeting.

I'd suggest to write directly to Facebook (not sure whether you would like to do it as an 'open letter' or to keep it completely private story, but any level of publicity you choose will be appropriate)... so... it makes sense to write directly to facebook administration and try to force them to review work of their ad targeting engine.

Well, their targeting is as primitive as the teenagers chatting online for the first time - asl (age/sex/location) was always the first question asked. The last ad actually promoted cancer detecting device or procedure or something. It's just the stupidity of people making these ads and not realizing how idiotic "Help dad find lung cancer" sounds...

I am quite sure that algorithm also uses some standard "invisible" tactics for targeting -- like monitoring of thematical pages you're viewing outside of FB and appropriate so-called "user segmentation" -- that's why you see cancer-related stuff :(

And their algorithm is nevertheless fscking imperfect, b/c it does not effectively notice that you're marking ads in some segment (or from some advertiser) as offensive.

Regarding stupidity -- unfortunately, you're right. People are stupid and there's no algorithm to protect other people from their stupidity :(

Anyway, I think it makes sense to write to FB about ads which are offensive. Case is quite clear, and they certainly should somehow care about it, IMHO -- ideally both improve offensive-detection algorithm and manually kick off poorly designed offensive ad "Help dad find". This is their problem as an ad publisher, not yours.
